I'm looking for the beauty in everything, and often I find it
My name is Nathalie, I'm 27 years old and now no longer a student. I have a diploma in Communication Sciences, and have also obtained one in Film Analysis and Screenplay Writing but most of all I want to be a writer, period. I'm mostly writing poetry, although I'm also working on short stories and a novel. In the meantime, I try to find some jobs here and there and most of these consist of translations. I speak Dutch, French ( my mother tongues ) and English, quite some German ( but I'm always willing to get better at it ), some Spanish and I can read some Italian and South-African. I'd kill to stay at home and just write though. Unfortunately, no such luck and I get to stay home to translate and search a job!
I moved to Mons to live together with my bf, but I'm originally from the coast, hence my West-Flemish accent ( I speak dialect ). I lived in Brussels for about 7 years while studying. Our daughter Sigrid was born on October 17th, 2007. We also have three cats, Hades, Freyja and Hlin.
I'm - not since so long - a Heathen in the Way of the North, after years of searching how I saw things in my mind. Turned out I wasn't the only one who ever thought alike, and I found my home in Nordic paganism and witchcraft. Although you can't say I'm that experienced, I try to learn every day. My mind is very intuitive when I let it, unfortunately my conscious sometimes has an overdeveloped Ego. It's not easy to kick yourself. I'm also a feminist, and will let no one or nothing stop me because of my sex. Even though this is not applauded in certain groups who claim the same way, I belong to the people who think feminism and the old Ways go hand in hand.
Now that we're over with the formal introduction, you don't need my permission to add me. This journal is friends only for the personal posts and for my writings but most are public, drop a note if you wish to be added back ( I add everyone who comments and read every journal I add - and unfriend journals that have been inactive for ages ) and if you just want to read, you're welcome anyway! I'm very opinionated and I try to give my thoughts as much as possible. It's possible that you don't agree, but by all means let me know. I'm never too old to actually learn something.
